My reflection about blogging

I think  blogging is good for you because if you do something  amazing you can type it and people will come and read it. What I like about blogging is that we can go on some one else blog and look what they did. Blogging helps me in my learning because other people can read my work and see what I did. I think there should be sticker in our blog because if someone likes your post they could put a sticker on.

Waste to wow

This term Vardon school has been designing costumes by recycling. We got buddied with another class and it was room 5 .We got into groups. In our group there was Emily, Zaeleh, Rhiannon,me and our Juniors. Mrs Parkinson told us our theme was about nature. So we had to think about what we were going to do. Our group decided that we were going to make a river dress. Then we had to decide on what things we needed to use .The things we needed were green and blue sheets, curly ribbons,a net and velcro . Then we got a big piece of paper and we had to draw how our dress was going to look .When we finished we stared to make our dress.  First we made our long dress by wraping two pieces of the blue sheet around me and then  we velcroed it together  Then we put curly ribbons on the dress and  we stated to do the back.At the back we hot glue gunned a net onto it . Next  we made fish out of cardboard and cut them out  we put the cardboard fish in the net .  We finished the dress and started to make a hat. We first got paper and put it around my head to see if it fit . When it fit me we put colorful paper on the hat so it looked like scales. Then it was the trashion show we waited until it was our turn. When it was our turn I went up and started to walk on the ramp slowly. When I finished everybody started to clap. It was really fun.

Sumatran tiger

Room 12 had a project to find information about this tiger. Did you know that the sumatran tiger is smaller then all living tigers and the sumatran tigers weighs up to 260 pounds on average and is up to eight feet long. The colour of this tiger is orange and has black stripes on it and this tigers stripes are narrower then those found on other tigers. In the wild the Sumatran tiger is found only on Sumatra a large island in western Indonesia. Between 400 to 500 Sumatran tigers are still surviving in reserves and national parks, with the largest population in Sumatra's Gunung Leuser National Park. Tigers hunt at night; they make a large kill every week or so. Sumatran tigers eat's tapir, wild boar and deer, as well as smaller animals, like monkeys, birds and fish.  All tigers are mammals. Mammals are warm blood that mean's they give birth to their baby's. Tigers attack their prey for the sides or back. Some tigers can be white with black stripes. Tigers live in hot jungles and shady forests. There are on tigers in New Zealand. There are five different kinds or subspecies of tiger alive in the world today. These tigers are called Siberian, South China, Indochinese, Bengal, and Sumatran. Only about 5,000 to 7,400 tigers are left in the wild. The length of a tigers tail is 3 to 4 feet (90 to 120 cm). Tiger cubs are born blind and weigh only about 2 to 3 pounds (1 kg), depending on the subspecies. Baby tigers live on milk for 6 to 8 weeks before the female begins taking them to kills to feed. Most tigers have an orange coat with dark brown or black stripes some have white stripes. There are only about 350 to 400 Sumatran Tigers left in the wild. Tigers hunt at night. Tigers are hunters, and they will eat just about anything that moves. The Sumatran Tiger likes to hide in the under brush and pounce on its prey, using its long, powerful legs, jaws, and claws to catch and kill their chosen meal. They have extremely good eyesight and hearing, which helps them track their prey. In the wild, their preferred prey seems to be wild boar and deer, and they can eat more than 40 pounds of meat at one time.
